Logline:
When Jasmine Howard, a woman with substance use disorder enters a treatment program to shorten her prison sentence, her presence invokes the vengeful spirit of a terrifying local legend known as “The Goat Man”. As the body count rises, she clings to her sobriety and ultimately fights for her soul.

Synopsis:
Jasmine Howard is a mother in recovery from substance use disorder. A tragic accidental overdose results in Jasmine getting a 20 year prison sentence as well as loss of custody of her 3 year old daughter, Jordyn. Working as her attorney, Jasmine’s best friend and adoptive sister Liz Montez manages to get her into a special program that requires 6 months of a rehabilitation program, with zero tolerance for relapses. After a suspicious death at the facility (at the hands of the Goat Man’s spirit), a spot opens making room for Jasmine to join.
Immediately she hits friction with another participant, Lucia de la Paz, due to Lucia’s insecurity around her former lover Carlos, taking a liking to Jasmine. But after Jasmine walks in on Lucia having sex with the facility’s med nurse, Lucia attempts to bribe Jasmine with access to meds; which Jasmine declines. A bond of trust is formed between them. As the deaths and strange occurrences keep mounting Jasmine ends up taking the pills from Lucia and backslides.
Everything comes to a head when the med nurse, bitter that Jasmine rejects his sexual advances, reports her for drug use and pins her for theft. As the local Sheriff takes her to holding at the jail, all hell breaks loose back at the facility when the Goat Man takes physical form. Three lone survivors call on the Sheriff for help, Jasmine discovers that Liz is also at the facility. They turn back not knowing what to expect, but Jasmine comes face-to-face with her cursed family legacy.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
I first saw A Nightmare on Elm Street on Christmas Eve in 1986, I was 4 years old. I sat on my tia's lap, half-terrified, half-fascinated; it began my love and strange comfort in horror films. To this day, the original Freddy still creeps me out, and while some of the later films gave Freddy more of a "fun" vibe, the original film has so many brilliant layers that gives it mass appeal. The fear, gore and psychology of A Nightmare on Elm Street is what I want to bring to Goat Man's Bridge. I want to make a film that gorehounds and elevated horror fans alike can appreciate and enjoy and create a new boogeyman with a legacy.
